Let me share a little about why Manatomo came to be.
I have three children — in high school, junior high, and elementary school. Together we navigated both integrated middle-high school entrance exams and high school entrance exams, and all of them made it to their target schools.
Throughout that journey, we tried cram schools, correspondence courses — all kinds of approaches. Each had its merits. But as we continued, I arrived at one key realization:
"The knowledge itself — whether from cram school or correspondence course — isn't that different. The real difference is in how you make that knowledge your own."
For example:
Without knowing how to study, things that could be learned aren't learned. Things that could be understood aren't understood.
Most children who struggle with studying are simply in a state of "not knowing what to do."
I sat beside them, solving problems together, sorting out one step at a time: "what to do first," "how to move forward next."
And at the end of that accumulation, there was success.
I want to bring this experience to more families. That is why I started Manatomo.
To be honest, the content written in textbooks doesn't change much no matter where you learn it.
What truly separates results is whether you know "how to study."
At Manatomo, we teach these things just as carefully as the subjects themselves:
What I have seen again and again in the field is children held back by one thing alone:
"Not knowing how to study"
— children who couldn't show their true ability, for just that reason.
A child's learning is a long journey.
What matters is whether they can keep walking it to the end.
But walking alone is a lonely thing.
That is exactly why I want to be a companion — running alongside both the child and their parents.
The first trial lesson is free. Please try a session, watch how your child responds, and then take your time deciding whether to continue.
